The Town of Pittsville is seeking qualified individuals to work as a seasonal maintenance assistant for the Department of Public Works. The maintenance assistant will be under the supervision of the Deputy Director of Public Works with the following duties: ongoing maintenance and repairs of public buildings, streets, roads, vehicles, grounds to include grass/weed cutting, parks, and equipment. Individual may also be required to assist with water/sewer infrastructure on an as needed basis.
Work requires constant physical effort and at times strenuous effort. This position is seasonal (April-October). Hourly compensation depending on qualifications will be $15-$18.
